FIX was a 7,000 sqft current event exhibition. FIX explores the complex landscape of America’s unfolding opioid crisis through history, art, science, interaction, media and objects. The multi- pronged approach is designed to grab any visitor “where they are” and bring them into the rest of the story. Throughout the development process I’ve sought to make it more than just a didactic health exhibit. Unfortunately many visitors didn’t get to see FIX due to COVID. The team and I took heart that the exhibit deeply resonated with those working in and going through recovery.
FIX won the 2020 Best Practices Award from the Association of Midwest Museums.
