Winner of the AAM Excellence In Exhibition 2017, Special Achievement: Reimagining the Historic House: William Conner House.
Since I began at Conner Prairie, I’ve been steadily working to bring established experiences up-to-date in addition to developing new areas. During the Indiana Bicentennial it became apparent that the iconic Conner House needed help and an update. We did away with a rather sparse historic house tour and installed a modern experience that speaks to the whole family. All of our exhibit elements were brought in: objects, hand-crafted interactives and media pieces to create windows into the Conner Family and early Indiana.
